And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by:  John Masefield (Sea Fever, 1902) -Poet, Writer, Seafarer

It is our conviction that a ship is only as good as the crew who sail  her and accordingly, Loyalty Marine Education Trust (LMET) was  established in 2016 with an aim at developing a pool of high caliber seafarers trained at all levels to work in the increasingly demanding shipping industry.

The yeoman efforts of the INTERNATIONAL MARITIME ORGANIZATION (IMO), London in achieving the twin objectives of safe ship and clean seas, by the development of various conventions, protocols and guidelines concerning the safety of life at sea, prevention of pollution of sea, seafarers certification and watch keeping, are appreciated by the world and LMET strictly follows the DG Shipping’s guidelines along with the, IMO conventions, STCW Regulations in training the seafarers.

We have the most competent, trained and qualified faculties to train the seafarers, along with highly sophisticated modern teaching aids to help our candidates in getting the quality training they deserve including well furnished classrooms along with an up to date fully air conditioned Library with high speed Internet facility.

In accordance with the latest manila convention for Standard for Training, Certification and Watch Keeping (STCW’2010),  giving the guidelines for maritime education, to be fulfilled by all the signatories in a stipulated timeframe. This has given the incidental or need based boost to the maritime training industry in India.

In order to achieve the above requirement, LMET has complied with the INDIAN STANDARD ISO 9001: 2015.
